Per Einar Ellefsen
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding Amundsen IM, Per Einar was Global Head of Equity Enhanced Indexing at the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund (NBIM). In that role, he oversaw the investment strategy and portfolio management of the fund’s $700bn equity index portfolio. From 2014 to 2018, he was a portfolio manager responsible for the selection and management of active external equity mandates for the fund in Europe and Asia. He started his career as a commodity trader and analyst at Arrowhawk Capital Partners and its spin-off Arbalet Capital (2010-2013). Per Einar holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique in France (2008) and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2010). Per Einar serves as a member of FTSE Russell’s EMEA Regional Advisory Committee.
Gautier Rousseau
Chief Investment Officer
Prior to founding Amundsen IM, Gautier was a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund (2012-2020) where he set up the fund’s investment strategy dedicated to equity capital markets events. He was responsible for managing the European and Asian ECM portfolios in which he invested in more than 150 companies in a variety of sectors during the last 5 years. He started his career at BNP Paribas (2003-2005) and as an ECM banker at Goldman Sachs (2005-2008) before working as an investment manager in the French private equity fund Activa Capital (2010-2012). Gautier has a degree in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics (2003) and a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD (2009).
Vinoth Sivanayagam
Chief Operating Officer
Prior to joining Amundsen IM, Vinoth worked at Lyxor Asset Management for 7 years. In his last role, he was responsible for the operations, structuring and oversight of Lyxor’s managed account platform, including strategic UCITS fund launches in partnership with top-tier global hedge fund managers. Vinoth joined Lyxor in June 2014 as a Hedge Fund Portfolio Analyst. From January 2018 to February 2019, he was Chief Operating Officer of Lyxor UK LLP and ETF Sales in London. Vinoth graduated from Toulouse Business School with Honors and holds a Master’s degree in Management with a Major in Finance and Minor in Quantitative Finance.
Clotilde Ginestet
Investment and ESG Analyst
Clotilde joined Amundsen IM after completing her Master’s degree in Banking & Finance at Université Paris Dauphine. As part of her studies she completed her last semester at BI Norwegian Business School, in the QTEM program. She has also completed internships at Trusteam Finance as an Assistant Fund Manager, covering a European equity fund, and at Natixis Wealth Management within the Asset and Liability Management team.
Einar Lilloe-Olsen
Investment Manager
Prior to joining Amundsen IM, Einar was an Associate Portfolio Manager at the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund (NBIM). He worked on a cross sector team managing a $9bn active equity portfolio. His coverage included consumer discretionary, staples and fintech. He started his career as an equity research analyst at Credit Suisse (2016-2017), on secondment as part of the NBIM graduate program. Einar holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School (2016), specializing in Finance and Investments.
Alexis de Maack
Trader
Prior to joining Amundsen IM, Alexis worked at John Locke Investments for 2 years. In his last role, he was in charge of research and implementation of quantitative trading strategies. Prior to John Locke he was a quantitative trader with ABC Arbitrage. Alexis is a graduate from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and holds a Master’s degree in mathematics and a certification in data science.
Christophe Martinez
Investment Manager
Prior to joining Amundsen IM, Christophe was a research analyst at UK-based BlueCrest Capital Management (2022-2023) where his coverage included equity capital markets events across EMEA and APAC. He previously worked at Ghisallo Capital Management (2021), a US-based hedge fund, with a similar coverage. He started his career as a banker at Morgan Stanley where he worked in the ECM syndicate team (2017-2020) and technology investment banking team (2020-2021). Christophe holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia (2015), specializing in finance.
