🌱Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) has published their Climate Solutions Guidance to help investors identify, classify and measure allocation to climate solutions – and in line with Amundsen Investment Management, they consider the most significant impact can be had through investment in primary markets: IPOs or capital raises of listed companies.
“IIGCC believes that investors can have significant impact on the net zero transition through investment in primary markets. The provision of new capital (equity or debt) to companies, projects, or governments delivering climate solutions is likely to lead to additional capacity to reduce, remove, or avoid emissions. It is through these mechanisms that investors are likely to have the greatest impact on decarbonisation per unit of investment. “
